Historic South Wayne Neighborhood Association

completed the following projects in 2009:

] Worked with law enforcement to rid our neighborhood of drug houses.

] Cleaned the alleys twice to help detour crime and preserve safety and health. 

] Worked with realtors to encourage sales of many empty homes in the neighborhood.

] Provided free garden soil on Dirt Day for all residents.

] Provided a monthly newsletter for all residents.

] Sponsored and funded Movie Night and a Christmas Party.

] Raised funds through annual Plant Sale.

] Worked in coordination with PAPA, owners of the property, and the architect to gain a new multi-tenement development at the old George’s market. (Watch for construction to begin soon.)

If you are interested in running  for an office and want your name on the ballot in March please call Al Geiger or Bob Schaab before the end of January. (You must be a member to vote or run for an office. Why not join by    paying your 2010 dues now.)
